Around the world, women need to access and own land in order to grow their businesses, their families, their communities, and their dreams.
Financial, legal and cultural restraints must be overcome to give them freedom to use land
for the innovative and empowering projects that they envision - whether that's female-owned maize mills, dairy farms, mechanic workshops or solar farms. We have seen how a small investment in land can empower a large group of women and create benefit
for a whole community AND the natural environment.
The Land Together Project will purchase land to be co-managed with women
and indigenous-led groups for the development of projects that increase
the wealth, agency, safety and independence of women while preserving traditional agricultural practices and valuable ecosystems.
